IDE extension installation guide
Install only an extension that CodeSentinel has officially identified, then connect your account through the supported web flow. This guide keeps the boundary clear between verified product behavior and an extension release that has not yet been published here.

Connect CodeSentinel without an unverified extension
These are the supported in-product steps currently available for getting a repository ready for review. They are the account and repository handoff to use until an official IDE extension flow is documented.
- 01
Sign in or create your account
Use the CodeSentinel web app to sign in or create an account before connecting a repository. The extension-specific account handoff is not published here, so do not enter credentials into an unverified extension prompt.
- 02
Create or open a workspace
Open Workspaces, create a workspace if needed, and open its settings. A workspace is where CodeSentinel keeps the repository connection and review configuration together.
- 03
Connect the repository provider
Choose Connect GitHub or Connect GitLab to complete the provider OAuth handoff. For Bitbucket, use the Bitbucket connection form with the workspace slug, username, and App Password; CodeSentinel verifies the credentials before saving the connection.
- 04
Confirm the connected state
Return to the workspace. The First review card should show a Connected badge and the saved repository label. For Bitbucket, the connection list also shows its verification time. If the badge does not appear, refresh the workspace and retry the provider connection rather than reinstalling an unverified extension.
Review handoff
Use the product review path after connection
After the repository is connected, use the workspace's First review card to open Reviews. The app can show a review as queued, in progress, or complete; use the Reviews page to follow the result and inspect findings.
This guide does not claim that an IDE extension starts, queues, or receives a CodeSentinel review. That behavior will only be described after the official extension and its handoff are verified and published.
